Hintavahti — Privacy Policy

Core promise

Taipale IT does not need to know the user’s contracts. Hintavahti is a personal reminder and management tool whose core logic runs on the user’s device.

V1: data on device

In V1, personal data and core app data stay on the user’s device. They are not uploaded to Taipale IT servers for Hintavahti’s core product features.

On-device data

The app may process on device, for example: watches (subscriptions/contracts), prices, notes, reminder rules, history, savings events, optional private document images, and text produced by on-device OCR.

User controls

You can export and restore a backup, delete all data in Settings, and use the core loop offline.

V1 cloud posture

In V1, Firebase content, affiliate redirects, analytics SDK and Crashlytics are disabled. If cloud features are added later, this policy will be updated before they ship.

Permissions

Notifications: local reminders (not server push and no account). Camera/photos: scan contracts or offers (on-device OCR). Calendar: only if the user adds an event.

There are no ads in V1.

Age

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or under the local minimum age).

Your rights

You may request access, rectification and erasure as provided by law. In practice you can use in-app delete-all and export. Other requests: lasse.tolvanen@taipaleit.fi.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Finland: the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (https://tietosuoja.fi).

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or processing practices change. The current version is published on this page.
