KAJAUS — Privacy Policy

Based on the current codebase (com.taipale.kajaus). Firebase and Garmin features may vary by build.

1. Controller

2. The app

KAJAUS is a recovery and sleep-related app (ID: com.taipale.kajaus). It may read health and activity data from Apple HealthKit (iOS) and Android Health Connect. Optional Garmin account linking goes through a backend.

3. Data processed

Health and activity data (via OS health APIs, with user permission), for example: • sleep / recovery-related metrics • HRV, resting heart rate • exercise, active calories, steps On device (AsyncStorage): • session / auth state • Garmin link state • health data cache Network (when enabled): • Firebase Authentication — anonymous UID • Firestore: users/{uid}/dailyHealth • Cloud Functions: Garmin link / unlink

4. What is not collected (current codebase)

The current app code does not show: • advertising or billing • microphone, speech, or location use • custom Analytics event logging (the Firebase Analytics package may exist as a transitive dependency without app calls) The app is not directed at children.

5. Purposes

Data is used for recovery and sleep tracking in the app, optional Garmin linking, and sync to Firebase when those features are enabled.

6. Deletion

• Uninstall the app or clear its data (local cache and session). • Unlink Garmin in the app if linked. • For Firebase anonymous UID server data: email us with any identifier / timeframe you can provide. More: https://taipaleit.fi/en/apps/kajaus/data-deletion
